Montana Fishburne is not the only woman breaking into acting who had a sex tape released. She is also not the only person to allow it to be released voluntarily. Pamela Anderson and Paris Hilton have both been in the spotlight for released sex tapes. This came as no surprise for fans of Anderson's earlier film career, but the Paris Hilton video caught fans off-guard. Paris eventually granted permission that the sex tape be distributed and she actually receives royalties from the video to this day.
It is difficult to say what impact the emergence of this video will have on Montana's career as an actress. Certainly, if this film does well, she may be cast in more of the explicit films. She hopes to branch out into major motion pictures or television shows from this possible publicity. It may end up working against her in landing large roles, though, as the reputation of actors/actresses can play a role in whether they get cast for a part in a film.
Paris Hilton was more commonly searched online after the video was released, but she did not receive any new movie deals or promotions from the tape. Pamela Anderson also did not cited enjoy any dramatic increase in television show appearances after the initial talk-show interviews after the release of the video.
John Edwards is another individual who had a sex video found, this one by an aide of his. He is a former senator, and was once a candidate for president. The tape hurt his reputation so much that any future career in politics would face severe opposition.
Montana Fishburne is only 19 years old, and her debut in adult films may make or break her future career. What is known for certain is that it has taken quite a toll on her father Laurence Fishburne. He would not comment on the subject, and it is unclear whether it will have an impact on his celebrity status and whether he will be viewed as the irresponsible parent who let this happen, or the victim of a rebellious teenager.
