Montana Guest Ranches: Bonanza Creek Guest Ranch in Martinsdale, MT

Allen Bell
The banks of Bonanza Creek have been rode by cowboys working cattle since the late 1800's. Many a night a cowboy lay with his head resting on his saddle by a campfire looking up at the stars from this location. Bonanza Creek Guest Ranch is located here now but every bit of the old west is still preserved. It is a family operated guest ranch and a working cattle ranch with over 1500 head of cattle.

The guest ranch offers a wide variety of activities, events and plenty of opportunity to just sit back and relax. It is a great place to get away to and enjoy the Montana outdoors. Whether it is for a family vacation or a couple's romantic weekend they can accommodate all your needs.

Accommodations at Bonanza Creek Guest Ranch consist of a main lodge and private cabins all with a scenic view. The Cowboy Cabin sleeps six and has a kitchen and living area. It also includes a loft. The Indian Cabin sleeps four with a living area and porch. The Pioneer Cabin sleeps eight with two bedrooms. It also has two baths, kitchen area, and porch. The Bunkhouse sleeps three to four with separate entrances to bedrooms and bath.

Dining at Bonanza Creek is Western cuisine served family style in the main lodge. The hearty country breakfasts leave a lingering heavenly smell through out the lodge. There are always fresh baked goods available anytime. Sizzling steaks right off the grill are a specialty.

Horseback riding at the ranch can be half-day rides or lunch on the trail rides. There are horses available for the beginner to the advanced and everyone in between. If you need riding instruction, it can be arranged. If you are more of a thrill seeker, you can participate in the cattle drive of the 1500 head of cows over the 25,000 acres.
