Monte Carlo: A Guide to the Las Vegas Resort and Casino

The Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino is located on Las Vegas Boulevard in between the New York-New York and Bellagio hotels. This hotel is great for anyone on a budget, but also nice enough for travelers who like luxurious accommodations.

Rooms- The Monte Carlo can pride itself on being a AAA Four Diamond Las Vegas Hotel, and it certainly shows. There are 3,002 Deluxe guest rooms, and 259 suites decorated with Italian marble, granite and brass. Cherry wood furniture is complimented with cream and gold textiles, since the Monte Carlo tends to go for the European look. Suites are also available, and these rooms come with a seating area, and spa. There are four different types of suites including: Monaco, Spa, Diamond and Penthouse. The room rates are very reasonable throughout the year, and offer luxury to everyone.

Food- There are many fine dining as well as casual dining places to choose from. Blackstone Steak House is open for dinner from 5pm-11pm daily and offers a great selection of aged steaks and seafood. There are over 160 choices of wine and a variety of appetizers. Reservations are recommended, so be sure to call ahead! Another fine dining restaurant located in the Monte Carlo is Andre's French Restaurant. This restaurant is also winner of the AAA four diamond award and created by chef, Andre Rochat. Traditional French cuisine is served, and there are over 12,000 bottles of wine to choose from, making this one of the best French restaurants in Las Vegas. Andres also recommends reservations, and opens at 5:30pm daily. If you are not in the mood for fine dining, or on a budget, there are also many places to enjoy food. There is a 24 hour café that serves great food, a Buffet that serves prepared to order options, and other food courts, pubs and snack bars.

Casino- The Monte Carlo offers the typical casino games including over 2,000 slot machines and video poker, Roulette, Craps, Pai Gow Poker and Baccarat. There are also high-limit gaming areas, as well as a poker room and race and sports book. Many casinos are getting rid of Keno, so you may have to look around to find that game!

Entertainment- The main attraction at the Monte Carlo is magician/illusionist Lance Burton. His show is highly entertaining and interactive with the audience in his custom built theatre. He also meets with people after his 10:30pm show in the Lance Burton Magic Shop located next to the theatres entrance.

Monte Carlo also has a Spa, Health Club and Salon for use for a small fee. Outside, there is a large heated pool, as well as a wave pool and lazy river. So whether or not you are vacationing on a budget, or just like the style and hospitality of this resort, the Monte Carlo is a great choice. Staff is always available to make your stay more comfortable, and the views are most often really nice!
