The concept of the Mood Chair is similar to any of the other mood reading products on the market today. What we have here is an odd looking chair that is shaped like a square two-light traffic lighting system. The lights in the front of the device are large LEDs that change color depending on your mood. These LEDs are incorporated with embedded micro-chips that allow the chair to change colors. Some of the colors include pink, blue, green, and red.
My first impression of the Mood Chair is that it is an ugly piece of furniture to own. The only reason that you may want to place something like this in your living room is for entertainment purposes. Another thing that I absolutely disliked about this product was the way it was designed. The square design was created in order to provide adequete seating for all different buttock sizes. However, the company failed to make a reasonably sized backboard to support your back. This makes the chair incredibly uncomfortable to sit on.
Now for the positives. This chair wins out in the entertainment category. The Mood Chair also works incredibly simple. All you have to do is plug the chair into any available outlet. The initial color displayed will be pink. However, the Mood Chair will change colors simply based on the mood in the environment. You read that right. A person does not even have to sit on the chair for it to change colors. Special technology allows the Mood Chair to sense what the mood is and change to the appropiate color to represent that mood.
An honest review of this product is that it is a neat device that delivers loads of entertainment but forgets to consider the possibility of comfort factors. Some people may like to use the Mood Chair as an actual chair because, well, it is a chair! If the company took time to create a better version of this chair that comes with a wider backboard and possible cushions, I might think about purchasing one. Since this is not the case right now, I will stay away from this device and advise you to do the same if you also want comfort out of the Mood Chair.
