Moon Song

A.C. Haury

Starless night envelopes the day,

No division between land and sky.

Moon's halo pales the darkness

Illuminating the distance between he and I.

A world lays between us.

Oceans, mountains and plains.

Our eyes may only dare to meet

At dusk and dawn again.

Rise my beloved. Rise.

Sing me softly into dreams.

Moon song - Echo across the sky,

Awake the night with your ghostly gleam.

And as you ascend into the sky,

I will warm the way.

Still I'll love you from afar,

With the rise and fall of each day.
