Moon and Stars
Silent stars that shine so bright,
Reflect the mood I'm in tonight.
Ever there but never near,
You glitter at me without fear.
Lunar beacon, full and bright,
Cast your light throughout the night
Let it shimmer on this beach,
Like the stars beyond my reach.
Witness to me silently
as I watch here faithfully.
Timeless beauty of the night
surrendering to morning light.
You may fade with coming day
but you're still there either way.
And when the sun again descends,
I'll see you all my silent friends.
