MoonChyld's Entertainment - Lindsay Lohan's Road to a Comeback

From The Parent Trap to Georgia Rule, Lindsay Lohan has shown how talented she is as an actress; she received rave reviews from for her performance in the Emilio Estevez film Bobby. Unfortunately, her after work lifestyle brought to us by TMZ, Access Hollywood and E! News to name a few has overshadowed her body of work. However, there is some glimmer of hope for her future. Currently she is in the Robert Rodriguez film Machete with Danny Trejo and Jessica Alba; she plays Robert DeNiro's daughter who has a passion for firearm. She is also starring in the Lucy Lovelace biopic feature Inferno; she'll be portraying the Deep Throat star. Director Matthew Wilder is one of several people who are pulling for Lindsay to make a strong comeback; he's directing the Lovelace film and is halting production until she is able to finish the film. This is the time for Lindsay to rise from the ashes like a phoenix and reclaim her spot on the A-List. She's taking the first step by admitting her faults, facing the consequences and entering rehab; hopefully for the final time.

A few weeks ago Lindsay failed a random drug test thus violating probation and on top of that she failed to show up for court regarding that test; it resulted in the judge issuing a bench warrant. She then showed up to the courthouse looking more casual with her sister and mother not far behind; her father was also in attendance. Due to her failing the drug test and the bench warrant Lindsay was sentenced to 30 days in jail. After the sentencing, Papa Lohan was screaming and yelling to reporters about how dissatisfied he was about her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, and that his daughter shouldn't go to jail but to rehab; he should crawl back under a rock and stop speaking on her behalf.

After a 15 hour stay at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, the actress posted $300,000 bail and was
released. Until her next court date of October 22, she has to wear the SCRAM alcohol monitor. Along with not drinking any alcohol, the Mean Girls star cannot have any drugs unless they are prescribed to her and she cannot go to any establishments where alcohol is the primary beverage. As of Monday, Lindsay has entered into rehab and those that care for her believe she can despite what people may say about this girl she is trying and that's more than most people walking the streets. What a lot of people focus on is that she's a celebrity and that's the reason why she's been given so many chances; that's pretty much any celeb - not just her. She just happens to be the one who has been one of the top stories on the media markets these days. First and foremost Lindsay is a human being who has personal dramas like the next person; the difference is that she's under the microscope of the paparazzi. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors in her life but what is known is what the media gives the public; unless of course you hear it from her father.

Michael Lohan may have had the good intentions any father should or wouldn have by appearing at her court proceedings but it's too little too late for him; it's not like he's had a clean criminal record. He has done this back and forth thing with Lindsay for a few years; one minute he's throw her under the bus and the next he's trying to play the role of the doting father. Then there's the battle he had with her mother Dina, something that has been going on since Lindsay's teen years. If anything, Michael wants a piece of the limelight in this media circus where the star is his first born. If memories serves, he bashed her himself; claiming that people were using her and she's addicted to drugs. The worst that he's done to his daughter is to release recorded conversations between him and Lindsay as well as ex-wife Dina; causing a deeper rift. He voiced his views about his other daughter Ali living with Lindsay and went as far as to come to her L.A. home with officers to escort because he felt it wasn't a stable environment for the teenager. This comes from a man whose family has said he was abusive to his ex-wife; he was even charged with allegedly abusing his fiancé this past summer. What Michael fails to understand is that his family wants nothing to do with him and Lindsay's the most vocal about it. Now he's trying to file a petition to become the conservator of Lindsay's finances and put her life back in order. If Dina hasn't filed such a petition what makes this man think it will be granted to him?

All this and so much more are going on in the life of a woman who isn't even 30. With news stories out there regarding Lindsay's current legal troubles with most of the comments being as raw freshly cut steak. Some have said they would do the opposite of what she's doing, she's a waste of a person or that she should fall off the face of the earth; interesting how people can throw stones and not admit to their own mistakes. Lindsay should use the energy of the negative comments and turn them into the motivation shoe needs to get better. It would make for a stronger success story for her and prove that she too can prevail from this and come out on top. She's a talented actress with the potential of being a box office drawer again.

Webster defines empathy as the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another of either the past or present without having the feelings, thoughts, and experience fully communicated in an objectively explicit manner; this should be something every person who has spit venom on Lindsay should do. If more people walked a mile in her shoes they would probably understand her situation more. Not everything is as black and white as people think it is. In saying that, here's hoping that Lindsay Lohan comes out of rehab successfully and gets her life back on track and have more positive people in her life.
