Kung Fu star David Carradine Goes into the Horizon

David Carradine, known to many as Caine from the television series Kung Fu and Bill in Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, passed away June 3rd. He was found naked and hanging in his Bangkok hotel room. Carradine was staying at the Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel while filming the movie Stretch; the hotel's chambermaid found him.

At the time of finding and taking him to the hospital to determine the cause of death, the first speculation was suicide. However, as the days progressed in the investigation following David's death it was ruled as an accidental death by way of auto-erotic asphyxiation.

In the days before his unexpected death, no one noticed any indication that he was headed in that direction. If anything, he was in good spirits and was excited to go to Thailand to shoot the film according to his manager Tiffany Smith.

Born John Carradine on December 8, 1936, he began his acting career on Broadway in the shows The Deputy and The Royal Hunt of the Sun. After having a great start in TV westerns in the 60s, David star began to soar in the 70s in the starring role of Kung Fu; which earned him a large following. In the years after, Carradine appeared in various films and television shows. However, in 2003 David garnered a new generation of fans in the title role of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill.

Along with a legion of fans, Carradine leaves behind his family including brothers Robert, Keith and niece Martha Plimpton. He was 72.

Television Vet McMahon Dies At 86

Ed McMahon, the former sidekick of Johnny Carson and host of Star Search, passed away in the early morning of June 23rd at the age of 86. He worked alongside late night talk show legend Johnny Carson for 30 years on The Tonight Show as well as help launch the careers of Britney Spears, Alanis Morrissette and Justin Timberlake as the host of Star Search. Ed remained on television as the co-host of TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes on NBC with Dick Clark.

In the later years of his career Ed suffered financial and health problems. Reports stated that back in 2002 he filed a suit against a few insurance companies and contractors due to mold he discovered in his mansion; he was awarded a settlement of $7 million. He, along with rapper MC Hammer poked fun at his financial woes in a Cas4Gold.com commercial which aired during the 2009 Super Bowl. The cause of death was not given at press time; just that he had a "multitude of health problems the last few months" according to he publicist Howard Bragman.

The Detroit native is awarded survived by his wife Pam and five children.

An 'Angel' Gets Her Wings

Charlie's Angel star Farrah Fawcett lost her fight to cancer on June 25 at the age of 62. Known then as Farrah Fawcett-Majors, the former wife of the Six-Million Dollar Man Lee Majors, her star would shine brighter than his due to the success of the Aaron Spelling produced show and a certain bikini clad poster.

After having been on the 70s show for just the first season Farrah, to the surprise of Spelling, quit to pursue a film career. This proved to be a bad move for the promising young actress who starred in the box office bomb Somebody Killed Her Husband but luck would soon changed in the 80s when she played the lead role in The Burning Bed; it was based on the true story of a battered wife.

Before Jennifer Aniston became famous with 'The Rachel', Fawcett set the trend of iconic hairstyles with a style labeled simply 'The Farrah' by customers in salons. Her legendary poster which consisted of Farrah wearing a red one piece swimsuit and flashing smile with her blonde tresses draped over her shoulders was first published in Life magazine. It went on to become the best-selling poster of all time with over 12 million sold.

Farrah's fight began in 2006 when she was diagnosed with anal cancer. She shared her battle with the disease with the public on Farrah's Story, aired this past May and again on June 26th on NBC. She was a fighter to the end and will always be remembered as the angel with the golden locks.

Farrah Leni Fawcett leaves behind long time love Ryan O'Neal and son Redmond O'Neal.
