Moonlight Dreams

Dreams of Walking on the Shore

Kathleen Shaeffer
There is a dream I have
Walking along the shore
With the moon brightly shining
Brighter than ever before.

In this dream a love comes to me
Offering exquisite love to be mine
The night and the scene together
Makes this feeling so divine.

Must I awake from this glorious dream,
And lose this magnificent romance?
If I do, will it come back?
I hope there's another chance.

I would hate to never see again;
This love that has happened to me,
Dream or not, may it always come back.
I have never felt so free.

Free to drift away in my dreams
Off into the night…
The moon overlooking the shore;
A beacon in the night.
