More Boundless Faith

Where is He?

Sheryl Young
This came to me during a terrible, frightening migraine headache. It is dedicated to all my friends at Associated Content and elsewhere whom I know have gone through terrible trials (To see the original "Boundless Faith", go here).

Where is He...
When the pain sears across your head or body
So badly
You must ask, "Why do I want to live"?

Where is He...
When a child or parent is quickly taken from you
So tragically
You must ask, "How do we get over this"?

Where is He...
When nature strikes and destroys your home
So completely
You must ask, "Where do we go from here"?

Where is He...
When your opponents attack your principles
So heartlessly
You must ask, "How long will they persist"?

There is an answer.
He says,
"My child - I give you these struggles
Because
You wouldn't have delight on the mountaintops
Without knowing the pain of the valleys."

"Fear not, for I am with you;
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

Don't forget your greatest resource - prayer.

    This is very inspiring. We certainly wouldn't know pleasure if we hadn't experienced pain. Beautiful work. :-)

    Thank you for this very touching and heartfelt prayer. I was in the valley for about 15 years, so now I really appreciate the view from up here on the mountain top.
