More Charges Possible in Ricky Holland Case

Father-in-law, Others May Face Charges

Lansing, MI - The investigation into Ricky Holland's death continues unabated in the days after the 7 week trial of Lisa Holland, Ricky's adoptive mother. A task force made up of nearly 20 people, including prosecutors and detectives, is sifting through evidence to see if they have enough information to prosecute more people in connection with the murder of Ricky Holland.

One of the key people under suspicion is Tom Taylor, Lisa Holland's father. In her trial, Tim Holland stated that her father helped them 'get their stories straight' about what had happened to Ricky. During Lisa's trial, Tom Taylor pleaded the 5th, which is the right to remain silent to prevent self-incrimination

Tim Holland pleaded to second-degree murder in exchange for testimony against his wife, which was instrumental in convicting her of first-degree murder and first-degree child abuse against Ricky. Her sentencing hearing is on November 28, where it is expected that she will be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Tim Holland's hearing is on November 15th. Because he is only charged with second-degree murder, he stands the possibility of parole at some point.
