Wanna Save Yourself Some Money? Make Your Own Household Products!
Shower Head Cleaner:
1 pint Ammonia
1 pint hot water
Mix ingredients together in a pot and place shower head in pot. Soak one hour.
Daily Shower Cleaner:
3 T liquid Jet dry (dishwasher cleaner)
Water
Place the Jet dry in a spray bottle and fill with water. Use on shower walls after each shower to keep the shower fresh and clean.
Heavy Duty Carpet Cleaner:
1 pint washing soda
1/4 cup turpentine
1 cup fuller's earth
Liquid dish detergent
Mix washing soda and fuller's earth, then slowly mix in the turpentine. Mix quickly until well blended. Make sure you store in a clean jar.
To use: Mix a small amount of product with liquid detergent until it forms a stiff paste. Brush onto your carpet and allow to dry completely. Vacuum.
Clogged Drain Remedy:
1 cup salt
1 cup baking soda
1 cup vinegar
Mix ingredients together and pour into the clogged drain. Follow with two quarts of boiling water.
Anti-Static (Office) Spray:
1/4 cup liquid fabric softener
1/4 cup ammonia
2 cups water
Mix well and place in a plastic spray bottle. Do not use on electronic devices!
Ink Remover:
1 T white vinegar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 T milk
1 tsp Borax
Mix ingredients in a small container. Place the fabric with the ink stain between several thicknesses of paper towels. Cover the spot with the Ink Remover. Wait a few minutes, then sponge area with cool water. Repeat until stain is gone.
