More and More Crime in Clinton Hill

With all of the muggings and thievery that goes on from week to week in Clinton Hill and Fort Greene, and the fact that Clinton Hill and Fort Greene aren't anywhere on a terrorist's target map, you have to wonder why the 88th Precinct of the New York Police Department isn't stepping up its foot patrols and thus its visibility on the streets and subway stations. Ever since 9/11, seeing police on foot has become much rarer and thus criminals are quicker to mug someone in the middle of the street, even in the middle of the day.

For instance, if law enforcement had been anywhere near the corner of Vanderbilt and Lafayette Avenues, even sitting in a parked in a patrol car, the two thieves that grabbed a woman from behind, one covering her mouth while the other robbed her, almost certainly they wouldn't have assaulted her.

If a couple of armed police officers had been in the Fulton Street subways station, when in broad daylight a man crept up behind a woman, put a knife to her throat and took her valuables, almost certainly the coward would have left her alone.
