More Sims 3 Expansion Pack Rumors! Sims 3: Generations and Sims 3: Unleashed

Sim fans are going gaga lately over the leaked video trailers of two supposed expansion packs for the Sims 3. One being called Sims 3: Generations is said to be hitting shelves this upcoming May 2011. However, no video or news can be found on The Sims 3 official website.

The next is also allegedly going to be another expansion pack, the 5th, called Sims 3: Unleashed, and if you played Sims 2, you know exactly what this pack will entail. Pets!

The issue I personally am having with the 5th supposed expansion pack, Sims 3: Unleashed, is that this game may very well be a singular, stand alone game made for the DS. I mean why would they keep the name exactly the same if it were something new?

Sims 3 Generations

This games trailer can be found on SimPrograms.com and shows you a look at what this so called expansion pack will include. Not much is really shown, nor can one be sure if these trailers are real or not, but supposedly this leaked video is the real deal, and this game title already has a rating on ESRB.

At any rate, Sims 3: Generations seems to focus more on family activities, as these activities are, and have been severely overlooked in the game, even more so with the latest expansion pack, Ambitions, which really focused on new careers, leaving family behind even more and more, and in my case, non-existent as I didn't have time for it.

This expansion pack on the video looks neat, and it seems to give teens and children a more in depth role, which was also severely overlooked since the release of the base game a few years back.

A tree house for children is shown, pranks teens can pull are shown, and midlife crisis' is a new addition to this expansion pack. Besides that, teens will now be able to participate in proms, and wedding parties will be more detailed with bachelor, and hopefully bridal parties.

After taking a look at the leaked trailer though, I'm still skeptical, as it seems to make my Sims look like a bunch pf party animal boozers as far as parties are displayed in this trailer. I also noticed body hair was a new addition, which has me wondering if the video is real, or fake.

Sims 3 Unleashed

This leaked trailer can also be seen at SimPrograms.com, and it basically displays a nice assortment of different types of animals one will find in the game, from dogs, cats, horses, wild animals you can find in nature, and so on.

After looking at this video though, I came to the conclusion that this one will perhaps be a stand alone game, and not part of any sort of expansion pack, due to the fact that it states at the end that it will be available on consoles.

It seems too different as far as graphics go to be an expansion pack.

At any rate, Sims 3: Generations is said to be releasing this May 2011, which is a very short time away.
Sims 3: Unleashed is said to be releasing October 2011.

For now, fans will just have to wait and see if these games will bit shelves or not. As of right now though, the leak on Generations seems to be very accurate.
