Our family has been eating Great Value Honey Nut Spins cereal since our sons were young. Though they're all grown and 33% gone, hubby and I still enjoy the cereal. We buy a 17 ounce box of the toasted whole grain oat cereal at least once a week. Team a bowl of Honey Nut Spins cereal with some fat-free milk, and I've got a breakfast that keeps me full way into the afternoon.
Honey Nut Spins is a nutritious cereal, as Zona Zirconia so eloquently told us in her article titled "Great Value Honey Nut Spins." I like that fact that it's made with whole grain oats, it's not too sweet, and that it contains four grams of fiber. I like the price too, compared to the national brand.
Another thing I like about Honey Nut Spins cereal is the versatility. It's a convenience food that lends itself to quick and easy recipes.
- Honey Nut Spins cereal mixes well with popcorn and nuts to sweeten a party mix.
- Make Honey Nut Spins cereal bars by melting chocolate morsels in the microwave and mixing the cereal in. The amount of chocolate and cereal to use is entirely up to the cook. Refrigerate to chill the bars before cutting into squares.
- Crush Honey Nut Spins cereal and use in that crumb pie crust recipe next time.
- Why not try Honey Nut Spins Krispies next time you decide to make Rice Krispy Treats? Since Honey Nut Spins are already sweet, you can use fewer marshmallows for a healthier kid's treat.
- Honey Nut Spins cereal and yogurt. Try different yogurt flavors to see what makes the best combinations.
- Make Peanut Butter Bars with Honey Nut Spins. Try this with unsalted peanut butter so it doesn't overpower. Or add honey to the peanut butter.
- Create chocolate or peanut butter logs by shaping the chocolate or peanut butter spread into logs and rolling them in the Honey Nut Spins cereal until they're covered.
- Or just enjoy Honey Nut Spins right out of the box. They're especially good for the late night munchers who have to satisfy their sweet tooth without packing in a lot of calories. Such as myself.

@ Annette and Zona, you are welcome.
Never tried this product. Thanks for the info~
Thanks so much, JE. I got my sis to try these for my brother-in-law, and he's thrilled. What a lot of good ideas you put in here. Thanks again â™
Zona's article inspired this. We're on a budget most of the time and can't afford Honey Nut Cheerios, except when they're on sale. It's hard to tell the difference between the two.
