Then sun was just peaking over the tree tops. The morning birds were singing joyfully. There was the special cool Fall morning feel to the air. Somewhere close by there was a wood fire burning. The aroma mixed with the smell of my fresh brewed Columbian coffee. The cool bright sunlight enhanced with the caffeine are awakening my brain.
I stare across the Bay and see nothing but God's beauty. I know that soon the phone will be ringing. The cars will once again crowd the road towards the city. The negativity of this crazy world will invade my peace. For this moment I have peace surrounding me and peace in my mind.
The sayings of the ancient Navajo Shaman fill my thoughts. One day at a time. Life's a cinch inch by inch, life is hard yard by yard. The list could go on infinitum Last night before sleep I had made my list for today. Most of the list is task that need done but not critical to today. I can hear my justification for putting things off coming into my thoughts. I am reminded of the feelings of remorse when I rationalize that type behavior.
My fishing pole stands in the corner of the porch. It is calling to me this morning. Just inside the door is my workstation. The keyboard is mocking me. There is a sink full of dishes soaking, the aroma of frying bacon and eggs still lingers in the kitchen... There is time for one more cup of coffee and I must begin.
I see movement in the bushes at the waters edge. A doe and her fawns are coming for a morning drink. Their ears are alert...they know hunting will begin soon. I stretch my legs and grab the bird seed to fill the feeders. Two scoops of dog food mixed with corn and a handful of peanuts for the squirrels too. The Shaman had taught me to share what I have and it will multiply. Feeding these creatures have brought me many hours of enjoyment. Yes I believe all blessings shared do multiply.
The dishes had almost soaked clean and I set them in the rack. God will dry them in time. The second pot of fresh coffee was coming down as I set the steaks to thaw for supper. My best friend will share the evening meal with me tonight. I have two articles to polish and publish then we read. Perhaps that finishes today's list but what about that fishing pole? I will make a list tomorrow and the first thing on it will be fishing. Fishing is always better at dawn...just like meditation. Mizah. ;-}}>
