Morning Rush Beauty Tips

Sometimes in the morning there just is not enough time to fit in all of the beauty routines needed to look our best. Instead of skipping some of the things because time is running out, or being late for work or a meeting because of your hair, try these simple tricks for a fast morning beauty makeover that is sure to have you looking your best and out the door in time to stop for your morning coffee. And, it will keep you from putting your mascara on in the car and getting a ticket, or worse, getting into an accident. And who really needs mascara for the office anyway!

Skin Care

One great skin care tip is to use special creams, like anti-aging products and eye creams, at night before bed. Then you will not have to take out the extra time for them in the morning. Make the morning routine a quick wash and makeup application, and do not forget the sunscreen. Sunscreen, although more important for most people during the warm months, is important all year if you work outside or spend a lot of time outside.

So, split your special routines between night and day to take away some of the time it takes to get ready in the morning and you will not have to rush so much in the am.

Makeup Tips

User a lightly tinted cream in the morning underneath your foundation. This will help your foundation go on more smoothly. Also, choose liquid cover-up instead of stick, which also goes on more smoothly and is easier to blend. For a better foundation I sometimes like to mix a little cream with the foundation before I put it on for a smoother and more finished look.

For quick daytime eyes stick to one color of eye shadow, instead of a blend. Also, apply powder with a large brush instead of a pad for a quicker coverage and you will be out the door in no time.

Hair Care

Skip the hour it takes you to straighten your hair, whether it is with a straightener or a blow dryer and brush. Instead, find a quick way to tame the lock you were born with. A slight wave or curl can give the hair some energy and character. Find a frizz taming product that adds some sleek and shine to your look. Or, put your hair up in a simple bun for a quick, easy, semi-professional look.
