Morning Sickness is More About Nervousness Than Nausea

The Real Story

Denise
With every pregnancy it seems that the same dreaded story occurs over and over again. It is a strange happening where a nauseous feeling hit's the stomach, and foods you love suddenly don't love you anymore. Some mothers-to-be reported having the sickness on the third month when others had it the first. It all depends on who you are, and what happened in your family. After all, we are all different, and our experiences can be just as different. One new mother who is a friend of mine told me that her experience was only nausea without vomiting. My mother, on the other hand, vomited to the point in needing a visiting doctor to administer a shot to slow it down.
One way to think of it as a massive body cleansing where all the sinful indulgences must be removed from the body to make it healthy for your baby to grow in. This makes sense when you want a healthy baby by your own healthy habits. Another mother I know told me that she could not eat the greasy burgers and junk food she used to eat when she was pregnant. So, there you have it. Morning sickness is a body cleansing for the baby's purpose right? There is another theory to explain morning sickness in a different way.

According to Clifford R. Anderson MD morning sickness is more the result from emotions of nervousness during the earlier weeks of her pregnancy. He also stated that it is not an illness, but a hidden fear when there is a home environment of tension or strain. This may happen if there isn't an enthusiasm from the other half when it is announced. Another cause for strain is if the pregnancy is a surprise, and there are financial concerns on another mouth to feed.

Doctor Anderson stated that a simple method of daily exercise and a healthy diet can make life more tolerable for the mother-to-be. For example, the body will be in a constant state of relaxation which will allow the tissues of the body, labor and delivery to be less troublesome. The mother can heal faster with a stress-free attitude in mind. Not to mention, her spouse can also participate with the same practices to ease his mind enough for him to be supportive to her appreciating the gift she is giving to him.

Pregnancy is a very delicate time for a woman whose body can change during this crucial time in her life. Sometimes the baby will need her vitamins she needs for her body, and it may be too much for her to handle without proper medical care. It is definitely no joke for many women who embarks upon this journey with hope. Whenever you see such a brave woman show her respect and offer to help in any way you can. She may be able to handle some lifting on her own, but comfort when in the midst of creating a life is worth a lot. Make it stress free please, because she's having a precious baby!

The author of the book " Modern Ways To Health
' Volume 1 by Clifford R. Anderson MD also said that when women adjust to the hormones changes in her body morning sickness usually subsides. He said if it is prolonged there is a serious problem. My mothers first pregnancy with me had her vomiting so much that a doctor came to the home to give her a shot in the arm. Dr. Clifford R. Anderson said that such cases should be treated in the hospital where the expectant mother can be fed through her veins until the severe vomiting is under control. I apologize for not putting this information in to explain further.

Most morning sickness is caused by the hormone estrogen in the blood stream or Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). I'm curious who this doctor is, and how is this doctor an authority on pregnency?
I would normally agree with alternative theories, but morning sickness has many causes, and can be treated (especially in extreme cases where the mother can get dehydrated or unable to gain enough weight).
