Morning time, I can feel the mist
Cool against my cheek.
Not yet dawn, but its coming in,
Look east, the sun is beginning to peek.
Morning time, flowers are new
Springing up from the ground,
I give thanks for all the blessings
That in my life abound.
Morning time, a brand new day
No worries to steal the calm.
I seek you out; I call your name,
I pray for hope in this brand new dawn.

Post a Comment"I come to the garden to pray, while the dew is still on the roses..." a great old Hymn called "In the Garden". This piece and Genie's picture remind me of that song.
What a wonderful time to meet the Beloved One.
FABULOUS!!
Good poem. Love your inspiration:)
Loved this one!
I knew instantly that you were referring to Genie Walker's garden. It is truly enchanting! Your poem is a wonderful reminder of how important it is to take time out to pray each morning - not just for what we want, but as you've mentioned - to give thanks for all that we have.
It was too beautiful to not get inspired!
Beautiful! I'm glad my garden was able to inspire you to write such a beautiful poem.
