Morning weddings are very beautiful and the meaning of them is very significant - a new start, a new beginning, a new life. The feeling at a morning wedding is fresh and inviting... and rather un-stuffy. Granted, a morning wedding may mean a little more rushing around for you to get ready, but it also leaves the window open to perhaps simplify your day. Don't spend so much time on hair, makeup, and nails. Cut back on all the frills and enjoy a very simple and delightful affair.
When it comes to food for a morning wedding reception, you have some rather wonderful options. You can choose to serve your guests either breakfast or brunch, and no matter which one you choose you are sure to save a lot of money because breakfast and brunch is a very inexpensive way to go. Consider serving the traditional morning foods like pastries, bagels, fresh fruit, pancakes, omelets, and other items. Perhaps even get a little fancy with smoked salmon and cheeses. Try serving these simple items with a small dessert plate, and perhaps a simple refreshing and rejuvenating beverage like coffee or tea. Indeed, a morning wedding reception allows you to be flexible in your menu choices - it's a great opportunity to have what is called a "tea reception." A tea reception is probably the most economical of menus, and it is also very elegant at the same time! It consists of simple items, that can even be store-bought by you, like cookies, store-bought cakes, and tea or coffee.
Indeed, a morning wedding ceremony and reception can leave a wonderful impression with your guests. Not only do they not have to wait all day for this much anticipated event, but they can also spend the rest of the day talking about and the good memories, and perhaps getting to some other fun stuff throughout the day (especially if they are from out of town and want to do a little touring).
So why not consider making your special day a morning event? It's a great idea especially for brides and grooms who are conscious of a budget or who simply want to keep things simple and uncomplicated!
