We started with ten and now where down to three. With Beautiful weather in the bay today the Oilers and Bombers kicked things off in an elimination game.

The Bombers would take a 2-0 lead into the second but the Oilers would explode for five unanswered goals in the final session and move onto the next round.

The Battle of the undefeated's was up next and it was a good one. Morris Park Devils would take a 1-0 lead into the second and add two more in the third for a 3-0 victory. Morris Park's sniper Stephen Mele had another big day having something to do with all his teams points with two goals and an assist. Morris Park Devils goalie Chris Temperini was a wall in the contest stopping many big shots posting the shut out. With the win Morris Park is the only undefeated team left and move onto the Final round of play.

The Brooklyn Oilers would pick up where they left off in the their first match and put up nine moving onto the semifinal match. The Brooklyn Oilers look very deep as they received goal scoring from nine different skaters in their two games played on the day.

Marine Park and the BK Bullets were involved in a good one! Marine Park would jump out to a 2-0 lead but the Bullets would get one back at the end of the first on an Richie Femiano power play goal for a 2-1 game going into the final period. With Marine Park clinging to the one goal lead and the Bullets pressing they were able to get the equalizer with only 2:14 remaining in the game and push this game into overtime. G. Konstantin would ruin the come back as he would bag the game winner in OT and move Marine Park into the next round.

Astoria Knights would jump out to a 3-0 lead on three straight Rob Alibrandi goals but the Shooting Blanks would soon make it a two goal game as period one would come to a close. The Shooting Blanks Mike Goucher would strike on his second of the day with just under four minutes to play in regulation to make for a one goal game. Astoria Knights were able to hold off the Shooting Blanks last push for the equalizer and move onto the final elimination match game of the day against Marine Park.

Astoria would do the same as they did in their pervious match and jump on to a 3-0 lead on Marine Park. Marine Park would soon make it a two goal game only to see Astoria Knights get their three goal lead back shortly after. With Astoria up by three Marine Park would get the next two goals to make it a one goal game. The Knights would score the next goal but Marine Park would make it a one goal game again on S. Kasimis forth goal of the game. Astoria Knights 5 Marine Park 4 with under a minute to play. Marine Park would pull their goalie for the extra attacker and the press was one. A swarm of shots from all angles would go towards the goal and a puck would land on the stick of G. Konstantin that he would push past the goal crease for a 5-5 game. Marine Park felt good going into overtime session but that would come to an end quick as a 2 on 1 break towards the Marine Park's goal and B. Kasimis would pull the puck back let it ride, sail it home and end the day of hockey at the Bay putting the Astoria Knights into the semifinal match up.

Astoria Knights vs Brooklyn Oilers for the right to play Morris Park Devils. Knights and Oilers played in week one as an extra session was needed to settle the score going in the Knights favor.
