Mortal Kombat Armageddon was the last MK game released (for PS2), but does it really stand out from all the others?

Being a MK fan from the start i would say.... kinda of. The MK Armageddon was on the top of my list the very first time I heard a New MK was coming out. I was upset that I didn't get it the first day, but after playing the MK game; I was left with a empty feeling like WHAT THE HELL ! There were somethings that were not right about this game.

First off the promise of making your own MK player did deliver, very Very nicely, but the single player mode was lacking in a very bad way. The MK Armageddon seemed like it want to keep the free roam approach in single player (like MK Deception) but as you to play it swerved far from it, MK Armageddon is a damn 2D/3D game; you'll never get lost because it's only one way you can go, that alone made me very upset.

Then the mini game was just disgusting, how do you follow up the Chess Kombat and Puzzle Kombat (both from MK Deception) with Motor Kombat, for lack of better words it was just bad. You only have 8 players to choose from ( note MK Armageddon has over 60 players to pick from in VS mode) and the art work on it was pretty bad, really the only reason you would play it is to get more money to buy what.... a bunch of sketches and media photos blah.

The Make-a-Fatality system was cool the first few times you did it, but then you start to get pretty ticked off, when you stop to think to yourself, " I sat for 3 hour learning how to do that second fatality for Baraka in MK Deception, and now it's NOT EVEN ON THIS GAME!!!", I mean it was very great that they put in a system so that the people that couldn't do a fatality or Hara Kiri ( from MK deception ) to save their lives, but why did you take that pleasure from all the pros.

but don't get me wrong there are Alot of reason why you should run out and get this game, if you don't have it already.

Like to find out what happen to pass characters, MK Armageddon really fills in alot of gray spots that true MK fans were needing; I myself really like the fact that they put Everyone and I mean every single character that has been made in the world of MK in this game, and then some.

The graphics really grab you in this game and Yes all the gore and killing is intact, new head slicing and body smashing really add a zest to the game, and really how many MK games can you say " I killed Kintaro with Onaga !"

The details the the Make-a-fighter mode is more than enough to keep you going, and the On-line fight is to die for, well to kill for; Mortal Kombat is a fighting game and it should stay that way; best way to play is grab a hand full of your friends and start whooping some a$$, I mean the first cut scene will grab you, slap you in the face and tell you " I am a fighting game, grab a controller and kill something".

I'm boxer telling you MK Armageddon is a must see, must buy game, so if you don't got it GO GET IT!
