I know of others that have lost their home. They had no other option but to walk away. It's a sad deal, but who would have predicted how bad it would get?
Actually, the trends over the last 30 years have suggested that our mortgage industry would have a down cycle. We just did not know when (or care to admit that we expected it) and how bad it would hit us.
I do feel bad for those that are struggling to make it work in the mortgage industry.
It's tough seeing children struggle with their mom having to go back to work for chump change while they get stuck in some lousy daycare. It's also tough seeing mortgage brokers and loan officers too stubborn to admit that they can't support their family doing loans so they keep plugging away while their bank accounts dwindle down to nothing.
The lucky ones are those that get let go or are forced out. They have no choice but to find income doing something else, only to find that they should have done that a year ago.
Several mortgage brokers that I know have turned to Internet Marketing to make up for their lost income. They found that they were already good at communicating with people and making sales. And they found that they were very influential with a large pool of prospective customers. These ex-mortgage brokers also found that they could exceed (which they did) their previous income by utilizing Internet Marketing. They found as well that they really enjoy working from home and being around their family and having more flexible hours.
If you haven't given Internet Marketing a serious look, the time is now. If nothing else, it could be a temporary solution until the real estate and mortgage industry get rolling again.
