Morton's Steakhouse Review: FIVE Stars!

Dining at the Morton's Steakhouse in Atlantic City, feels like an exclusive club. Unlike the typical open-swung doors and welcoming awning of steakhouses, this one is tucked inside a small corner just inside the casino. A solid, wood door greets you, with hours of operation, and a strict dress code. No jeans or sandals to dinner, tonight!

We were greeted at the door as soon as we entered, and ushered to a table. Low lights, warm tablecloths, and lots of wood added to the atmosphere. The most thrilling part was the view: An, clean open view of the kitchen, where we could see the largest ovens I've ever seen burning brightly!

We put our napkins in our laps, and viewed the menus. They were very detailed and well-described and carried a large, varied assortment of steaks. The waiter came over with a large cart of fresh-cut meat on plates, describing the texture and flavor of each one and how it is recommended to be cooked. We each ordered a different type of ribeye, mine slightly smaller, along with an appetizer of fresh mozzarella and sliced tomato with a balsamic reduction. The appetizer arrived quickly, offering us large slices of mozzarella and tomato, perfectly seasoned.

The steaks arrived cooked to perfection. The sides were average, but still delicious. There was a good amount of marbling for great flavor. We each ordered a glass of red and white wine to accompany.

For dessert we shared an apple pie cooked with raisins, which we had never had before. It was warm with a nice crust, and a good ending to the meal.

For the cost, Morton's Steakhouse is absolutely worth it. The service, food quality and atmosphere are perfect and guaranteed to make a wonderful evening!
