Get ready to laugh the night away as a new comedy makes its way to the stage at the Zephyr Theatre in Los Angeles.
Moses Supposes, features the talented Elijah Kranski and Sarah Sankowich in supporting roles opposite the amazing Golden Globe winner Karen Black and The Sopranos' David Proval. The limited-run engagement is directed by Lee Sankowich and written by Ellen Melaver.
Kranski (Holding Trevor, Twilight of the Golds) is a Wisconsin native and plays the role of Raymond, a young man returning to his southern Jewish home for his parents wedding anniversary party.
"It's basically a play about communication," Kranski said. "I'm excited to be working with these incredible people."
Kranski has already been in rehearsals for the past month, and said things are going well for the whole cast.
"It's a great cast," he said. "…I've laughed more then I have in the past six months."
Moses Supposes brings the adult children of Cookie (Black) and Marvin Green (Proval) back home where each chooses that weekend to reveal their own surprises to the family. These moments lead to non-stop laughter for the audience as Cookie and Marvin discover the mysteries of their own family.
Preview performances are set to begin Oct. 8, with opening night on Oct. 15. The production will run through Dec. 4 at the Zephyr Theatre, 7456 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046. Tickets are $15-25 and available by visiting www.brownpapertickets.com.
