Most Adorable Presenters at the 79th Annual Oscars

Carrie Lowe
Ok we all know that the stars are why we truly watch the Oscars, but it is incredible to always watch the newest stars as they develop. This year was no exception with the two youngest presenters. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's son Jaden Christopher Syre Smith as well as Abigail Breslin. Both are very young at 7 and 10 years old respectively however both are making huge waves in Hollywood.

Being able to make a great film is always good exposure, having famous parents is also great exposure. However, being able to market yourself as an adorable and highly talented actor and actress is always good. Jaden made his film debut in The Pursuit of Happyness starring along side his father Will Smith. Abigail however is no stranger at all to movies and Hollywood with numerous films and shows under her belt already.

Abigail's film credits include such films as The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, Raising Helen, Signs, Air Buddies, Little Miss Sunshine, and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. Watching these very talented young actors and actresses is always thrilling to see the talent that can be developed at such a young age. While Abigail has a great many more films under her belt than Jaden it will be interesting to see, what the youngest Smith actor is capable of doing on his own. Jaden has huge footsteps to follow in behind his parents who are both highly talented and have worked in many great films.

While the youngest presenters are the least experienced, they are also the most adorable in that most of the time they are so brutally honest and will tell the truth while others might sugar coat what is going on. Our adorable presenters presented the Oscar awards in two categories, which considering they are the youngest and by far the shortest presenters was quite appropriate. The first category was Best Animated Short in which the winning short film was The Danish Poet by Torill Kove. The other award they presented was The Best Live Action Short Film in which the winning film was West Bank Story by Ari Sandel.

I look forward to more of the youngest and newest stars in Hollywood being allowed a turn at the presenters post. It goes to show that acting and Hollywood is truly a place for people of all ages with a good mix of ages in the presenters and nominees. This year has been a very wonderful year with a great amount of talent; I look forward to more years that are as exciting as this.

I have to disagree. I thought they were the worst presenters of the evening. The Academy makes this mistake from time to time with young actors and it is always a bad idea. Abigail Breslin was ok, but Jaden Smith was awful, and I feel bad for the winner who had to accept his Oscar, the culmination of his dream, from a kid that could barely read "The West Bank Story" off the nomination envelope. Its embarrassing, and makes for nothing but uncomfortable moments.
