5 Favorite Picks

With the new year just around the corner, I must say I am anxious to see some of the comedies due in 2010. These are 5 of the most anticipated comedy movies for 2010.

Grown Ups

I am a sucker for Adam Sandler comedies, and seeing the cast of this one, I can say for sure it will be one of the best comedy movies in 2010. The movies is about former classmates who reunite, 30 years after they finished high-school, to spend the 4th of July weekend together. Beside Adam Sandler, cast includes Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello and David Spade. The movie will be released on 25th of June 2010.

A Couple of Dicks

Scheduled to be released in February 2010, this comedy will tell the story of two cops, Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan who try to recover a stolen baseball collection card. Jason Lee and Seann William Scott will also star in this movie. The cast is promising for a comedy, Bruce Willis proven himself as a good comedy actor in Bandits and The Whole Nine Yards, and Tracy Morgan becoming a star after the success of 30 Rock.

Little Fockers

The third installment in the Fockers series will be released in the summer of 2010. The movie will have the cast from previous movie, with the addition of adorable Jessica Alba. The movie, as the title suggests, will be centered around the kids Pam and Greg have, problems within family and divorce, everything in a very funny way.

Death at a Funeral

Although this is a remake of a very recent movie released in 2007, I think that the cast will turn this into a great comedy movie of 2010. Martin Lawrence and Chris Rock will star in this comedy where a funeral turns into a catastrophe while family secrets are revealed and the body disappears as well. The movie will be released on April 16, 2010.

The Three Stooges

Larry, Moe and Curly is one of the most famous comedy trio in movie history. This remake, produced and directed by the Farrelly brothers, will feature Benicio Del Toro and Paul Giamatti as part of the trio, not being yet sure if Jim Carrey will play in this as well. The Farrelly brothers said they intend to do a modernization of the trio, although this may turn the movie in a disaster. There hasn't been set a release date for this movie so far.
