Most Anticipated Movies for 2010

Miss Mini
There were a lot of movies that generated hype in 2009, but in my opinion this year has been a bust at the box office. With the exception of the Twilight Saga: New Moon, I am really not looking forward to any movies set to be released in 2009. On the other hand I am very excited about many movies that will be coming out in 2010. I think that next year's line up is going to make up for the lack of great movies this year. If you are a movie lover like me then here is a list of great upcoming movies that you won't want to miss out on.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - This is the movie I am anticipating the most. The third installment in the Twilight Saga is scheduled to come out in June of 2010. This movie has a new director and new additions to the cast, however all of our favorites will be back on the big screen.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1 - Despite the fact that I was pretty disappointed in Harry Potter 6, I am still really excited about The Deathly Hollows. I am so excited that they have finally decided to split a book into two movies. It will be interesting to see how the movie plays out since many key details have been left out of the last few movies. David Yates will return as director and this movie will be out in theaters in November of 2010.

Iron Man 2 - The 2010 summer movie schedule will kick off with Iron Man 2 on May 7th. I am pretty excited about this release as the first Iron Man was awesome. I am not a comic book fan, but feel that you don't have to be to enjoy this movie. I would say that Iron Man was as good as the Dark Knight and am really looking forward to seeing what's to come.

Remember Me - This upcoming romance movie, set for screens in February, will likely get a big draw. It features Robert Pattinson (Twilight Saga), Pierce Brosnan (James Bond), and Emilie de Ravin (Lost). This movie is about two lovers who may lose their relationship if they cannot cope with their own respective family tragedies.

Alice in Wonderland - Tim Burton has decided to bring Alice in Wonderland to the big screen and has assembled an all-star cast. Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Anne Hathaway, Michael Sheen, and Crispin Glover will all portray various characters from this beloved story. This movie will be out next July.

The Last Airbender - With a short trailer already out this movie looks to be good. Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, this movie will be a life action movie based on the popular cartoon Avatar The Last Airbender. It is scheduled to come out sometime during the summer of 2010.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - This movie is based on the popular video game series and will be produced by Walt Disney. One might think that Disney isn't up to the task, but don't forget that they did give us The Pirates of the Caribbean and that was a great series. This movie will star Jake Gyllenhaal and will be out next May.

Dear John - Here is another book turned movie from acclaimed author Nicholas Sparks. There is no doubt that this movie will be a success. It stars Channing Tatum (GI Joe) and Amanda Seyfried (Mama Mia!) and will be out next February. For those of you who have yet to read the book it is about a soldier who falls in love while on leave.

Rounding out my list for 2010 is Saw 7 and The Book Thief. These movies are still in development so there isn't much about them yet. They are most likely due out during the end of 2010.
