Killzone 2- The Killzone series is a squad based first person shooter game. This is the 3rd installment in this series that was released on Playstation 2 originally. New changes in this game include more realistic looking features such as better lighting, animations and a better all around coverage system. There is also an advanced version of the lean and cover mode. The environments in this game are also very destructible.
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue- Gran Turismo Prolouge is the latest contribution to the Gran Turismo series of games. New features are enabled in this version, features such as racing up to 16 cars at once and an in view car feature. The in view features allows you to peep the speedometer, odometer, reflecting rear view mirrors and multiple lighting effects. The new setup also enables you to connect any Playstation 3 steering wheel controller.
Guitar Hero IV- Probably soon to be titled "Guitar Hero IV:Aerosmith", Guitar Hero is on it's 4th game due to be out towards the end of 2008. The game is rumored to be dedicated to Aerosmith and even include a list of characters from the band. Further details are being kept on the hush!
Little Big Planet- The hype around the game titled "Little Big Planet" is almost ridiculous at this point since no major details have really been released. Sure there are demos of this game floating around, but nothing official yet. The game focus is based on small characters that navigate through the world by jumping, pushing, grabbing, running and flying. There will be multiple ways of scoring based on time and execution. You will also be able to customize characters.
Grand Theft Auto IV- Enough said!
Star Wars Force Unleashed- Coming summer 2008, Force Unleashed involves the player guiding the evil Darth Vader's secret apprentice. Vader sends him on a mission to destroy and terminate the last Jedi. Enemies are a lot smarter this time around and tougher as they are more determined. New features also allow you to create living bombs and play back vicious kills in cinematic view.

I dunno Sony that dayum xbox is looking real good right now
Technology has truly come a long way... Thanks for the info!
Great info!! The kids in my house gonna love it for sure!
I heard about GH4; it's gonna be interesting to see how many non-Aerosmith fans take to the game. Great list!
great article, I want to try the guitar hero IV, i love aerosmith, and think it would be cool to play like them. I have heard much about it and can not wait
Thanks for this info, my nephew will love this article, thanks hon.
Takes place in America. Bigger and more detailed enemies.
Prototype: A free-roaming "hack and slash" spin-off. You are a test subject that ran wild. You can absorb other people's appearance and abilities. The whole environment is split into 4 zones: military, mutants, civilian, and war. Your character can climb buildings, run at animalistic speed, transform your arm into spikes that rise from the ground, transform your arm into a deadly blade, and other abilities.
Personally: I'm excited for SF4. Just because I'm a die-hard SF fan.
GTA4: new mechanics include new driving physics to be more realistic as well as drunk driving is updated. Gamepro commented that the gunfights are more "epic." Scheduled to be released for both the 360 and the PS3: 360 gets exclusive Downloadable contents (you have to purchase them).
In my opinion, that's not my top anticipated games. Mine would include:
EA's Battlefield: Bad Company: It's a battlefield game with almost complete environmental destructability. The story is intriguing with your company going after money for greed instead of being the savior.
Alone in the Dark: Innovative survival horror game. Takes place around Central Park, NYC. Awesome fire effects that affect gameplay. Gameplay consists of fighting with whatever you can find and make with stuff you carry in your jacket.
Resistance 2: Possibly just as (if not more) anticipated than Killzone 2 by the online community. It offers 60 people online. Online co-op with different/supplemental storyline. Takes place
For MGS 4: "typical shoot em' up game" No. It's an action-stealth game. New feature also includes some sort of MGO and "FPS" mode as well as the robot guy.
For KZ2: "squad based first person shooter". NO. It's a strict FPS. You forgot about the fact that the environment and climate will play a big role in gameplay: such as Lightening cannon.
For GTP: 16 cars ONLINE! Also there will be GT TV which is a thing for users to watch car shows online. There has only been 1 PS3 wheel announced at the time.
Guitar Hero 4: It can't be the most anticipated game of this year because we know little to nothing about it.
LBP: There are TONS of coverage on this game. Like A LOT. Almost at every event. The game is basically a template for any user to make their level of platforming game using preset objects. Users can submit their levels online and play other people's levels co-op offline and online. LBP is set out to be the "Youtube" of video games...without the lawsuits.
GTA4: new mecha
Great info about the upcoming games for Playstation 3. Almost make me want to go buy one.
