Mariah Carey-Untitled: While her last solo album was The Emancipation of Mimi, Mariah Carey preps once again to "set it off" with her untitled release due out this spring. Miss Glitter herself plans to have a huge number of appearances as well as top rated producers such as Jermaine Dupri, LA Reid, DJ Toomp as well as T-Pain. The long wait is almost over in anticipation of her new album; let's hope she doesn't let her fans down.
Usher-Untitled: Usher has been virtually unseen or unheard from since his last appearance in the Same Girl Remix which featured R.Kelly and T-Pain. But he plans to step out of the shadows with his untitled release due out later this year. The possible single titled, "In This Club" is soon to be released. Production help from Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Dr. Dre, Jermaine Dupri and even Robin Thicke are expected to be in the works. Guest appearances from T-Pain as well as Jay-Z are expected to be made.
Ashanti-The Declaration: Ashanti's album was previously supposed to be released at the end of 2007 but was pushed back due to unknown reasons. However; the single from the album titled, "The Way I Love You" is already in constant rotation on the radio. She gets production assistance from the likes of Babyface, Pharrell Williams, Dr. Dre as well as Jermaine Dupri. A highly anticipated collaboration with Snoop Dogg is to be expected. The Declaration album is set to be released early in the year around mid- March.
Brandy-Untitled: Even with all the drama surrounding her legal problems, Brandy is determined to release an album this year. This is sure to be a classic amongst her long time fans waiting on her return. Although the title is yet to be released; the producers are heavy hitters such as The Neptunes, Rodney Jerkins, Wyldcard, Tonex and even Bryan Michael Cox, who is said to be executively producing the album.
Whitney Houston-Untitled: Whitney has put her past behind her as she preps for her upcoming untitled album. She has recently got back into the sprit of things by performing her oldie but goodie hits in font of 10,000 fans in Malaysia. In an effort to prove she still has what it takes she's enlisted help from Will.I.Am.(of Black Eyed Peas), Ne-Yo, R.Kelly and even John Legend. Let's hope Whitney's voice doesn't "crack" due to the pressure.
