With Halo 3 coming out this month it is time to take a look at the most anticipated video games that should be hitting store shelves soon. These video games were debuted at E3 and should be in stores by Christmas.

Halo 3 (September 24, 2007)

Halo 3 has to be the most anticipated video game of the second-half of 2008. Halo1 took the world by storm and Halo 2 was also highly anticipated. Halo 3 will probably have hoards of gamers waiting in line for it later this month. You might want to pre-order your copy to make sure you can get one.

Super Mario Galaxy (November 2007)

Super Mario Galaxy is probably the most anticipated Wii game to date. This is the first true sequel to Mario 64, which has been hailed as one of the best Mario games to ever come out. Galaxy has had a moving release date, but right now is scheduled for a November 2007 release.

Crysis (November 2007)

Crysis is the sequel to the surprise hit Far Cry. Crysis has won several awards since it has bbeen debuting at many game shows and is said to be able to live up to the hype that comes with being the sequel to a surprise hit game.

Grand Theft Auto IV (October 2007)

Xbox 360, Playstation 3

Grand Theft Auto is always a highly anticipated game and this new one is no exception. Rumors are all over the internet saying what GTA will include this time around but only time will tell.

Unreal Tournament III (Fall 2007)

Unreal Tournament III has been in the making for a while. Unreal Tournament I and II were big hits with the multiplayer first-person shooter crown and III will hope to deliver on the hope that I and II brought.

Guitar Hero III (October 28, 2007)

Guitar Hero is a huge and the new version of the game will include more songs and some new features. The first Guitar Hero came in with little fanfare and quickly became a top-selling game. Don't expect the third installment to release quite as quietly.

Assassin's Creed (Fall 2007)

Assassin's Creed tells the story of a warrior in 12th century Persia. This game will be in the Prince of Persia format and as won numerous awards including Game Spy's Best of E3, Gamespot Editor's Choice, and 4 other Best of E3 awards.

Rock Band (November 2007)

Rock Band is a game that is set to try to take the Guitar Hero audience by taking Guitar Hero to the next level. In Rock Band you play music from some of the most popular bands in the world but instead of using just a guitar, you and your friends use guitar, microphone, bass and drum peripherals.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (October 2007)

Call of Duty 4 takes the same gameplay, graphics and all-around experience of the first 3, award winning, Call of Duty games and brings it into the modern age. Instead of fighting Nazis, this time you are fighting terrorists in a modern-day war simulation game. Call of Duty 4 is scheduled to be out in October 2007.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (August 2007)

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is said to be the best Metroid game ever. There is a lot of hype being built up about this game and it could easily be the most anticipated Wii game of the summer.
