Most Breathable Men's Shirts for Humid Climates

5. At number five is a good breathable shirt, the Adidas Clima-Cool shirt. I have one of these shirts, and it works very well. It's a short sleeve, normal looking shirt. The collar fits just right and not too snug, so my neck can breathe freely. There are 'vents' in the shirt along the sides. From right behind the shoulders, it connects to the armpit area and extends all the way to the bottom of the shirt. There is also a semi-vent on the back of the shirt as well. A 'vent' in breathable clothes slang is basically a part designed for air to circulate freely. It's 100 % polyester, so it's fairly light. This shirt is great for running, roller-blading, basketball, or just to be outside when it's hot. As for the durability, this breathable mens shirt can go the distance. After three years, there isn't a rip, tear, or loose thread yet. I run in this shirt, play basketball in this shirt, I have even been hiking in this shirt. As for the bad things about the Clima-Cool shirt, the design is a little old when it comes to breathable clothes for humid climates. I would use this shirt for 95 degrees and less, nothing hotter. It's a little heavy when it's compared to other breathable shirts. That's due to the fact that it was one of the first shirts to feature vents. If you sweat a lot, it also takes awhile to dry. I have a medium sized shirt, and it's a little big on me. For sizing, it's best go one size smaller than what you normally wear. I have a blue shirt, with white vents on either side. I don't remember if there were other colors, but most likely gray and white are available. You don't want to wear a shirt that's too big, other wise your just carrying extra weight. At about twenty to thirty dollars, it's a normal priced shirt for the person that is looking for a good breathable shirt that will last a long time.

4. This fourth entry is no slouch either. The Russell Athletic Dri-Power is a great performer when it comes to breathable mens shirts. Russell Athletic? Don't think it's a good name brand? (They make clothes for football teams and quality hood sweaters.) Besides that, I like the Dri-Power shirt. It's very light, and instead of vents, the whole shirt is designed to let air in and out freely. This is a great breathable mens shirt for running and football, as well as humid cimates. It stretches a little, and you can move with ease. When you sweat it dries quickly, leaving you comfortable. I have one of these shirts, and it feels like your almost wearing nothing. I have a youth size, which fits me perfectly. I'm of normal build, so it's best to go a size smaller than what you normally wear. My shirt is white, but I am positive the main colors are able to be obtained as well. This breathable shirt is around twenty dollars. The cons? If you are an aggressive outdoors man, this breathable mens shirt will get some rips in it. This is more of a training shirt, so running and normal outdoor activity is best. Also, since the sizing information is ironed on the inside right where your neck is, it tends to peel off and annoy you sometimes.

3. Number three is a favorite among runners: The Nike Lightweight Dri-Fit. This shirt is very lightweight, fits close around the neck, and is very durable. It wicks away your sweat to keep you dry in whatever your are doing. This shirt dries fairly quickly. As I said earlier, runners love this breathable mens shirt, but you can you use it for any humid climate. It also fits you well if you get the sizing you normally wear. This shirt was also designed to last a long time. At twenty to twenty-five dollars, this is a great price when it comes comes to breathable clothes.

2. If you are an active person, you most likely have heard of Under Armour. They have changed the way breathable clothes are made. With the Under Armour Tech Tee, you can pretty much do any activity in the outdoors and feel comfortable. This shirt is very lightweight, and fits loose. It's designed to be, so you can move about freely. The sizing however, is a little big, so it's recommended to get one size smaller than what you would normally wear.
It's very durable, and even thought it's made of polyester, it feels soft.(95% polyester, 5% elastin) It even look like a normal shirt. But Under Armour took their breathable mens shirt one step further. It also regulates your body temperature as well. So, you can use it for any weather. If you are in a humid climate air will circulate, keeping you cool. If it's cold, the shirt will help maintain your heat, so you stay warm. And now for the cons. Since this shirt is very lightweight, for people who sweat A LOT, this shirt is not for you. The shirt absorbs plenty of sweat, and doesn't dry as fast as other shirts. For twenty dollars, this is a high-tech at a low price.

1. The Under Armour Wylie T-shirt is 100% polyester, yet is full of technology to keep you cool. This shirt has mesh side vents, as well as back vents. It is very durable, and the collar is designed to be very close to your neck. It has the standard wicking feature as the other breathable shirts. It is also loose fitting and is true to sizing. So what makes this the BEST out of the breathable mens shirts? Several reasons. Heat-Gear fabric is an Under Armour exclusive, and this works well to take away the sweat and keep you cool. This is the shirt for men that sweat buckets. This shirt also has a antimicrobial treatment, so is keeps smells away by stopping the growth of bacteria that cause the smells. AND, this shirt is protected from the sun with UPF 30!! So if you work-out, play sports, or go hiking, this is the shirt for you. And the cons? At thirty-five dollars, it's a little pricey for a breathable mens shirt.

I'm baffled. All this new fabric technology?
I have to wear a business shirt, long-sleeved, to work, in London city. They are hot, and breathe badly. London is full of pretentious shirt-makers, all selling thick, unbreathing, cotton business shirts.

What gives? Why are these manufacturers so retarded? They simply refuse to move away from cotton..

When I'm stuck in the tube (subway), in temperatures of 30-plus celsius, sweating like a pig, in supersaturated humidity... Why don't they understand that thick cotton is completely not what I want?

Fortunately, with the economic downturn, most of them are going bust.
