Most Desirable Actresses in the Fantasy of Hollywood

M. NURRIZQI PUTRO UTOMO
Who are the most desirable women in Hollywood. Which women make us men weak in the knees. Well, there's plenty. But I'm concerned with a specific type of woman. The women that fuel geek culture and get our blood pumping.

I'll bring you up to speed with the women that define genre fantasies.
Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia in her metal bikini. Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman sprinting toward the camera in those damn sexy hooker boots. Xena and Gabrielle as the ambiguous gay duo spicing up sword and sorcery. Maybe Liv Tyler as an Elven beauty. How about Tough as nails warriors like Trinity, Ripley, or Sarah Connor. Or the thinking man's lust, smart and sexy like Agent Scully. These are the standards of the sci-fi, fantasy and superhero genres.

Notable runner ups include Rose McGowan and Lucy Lui. They both have enough cred to be desired on a ridiculous level, but I wanted to keep this list to only five.

And the honorable mention goes to Jessica Alba - She played Nancy Callahan in Sin City, but it's been overshadowed by her horrible portrayals of Sue Storm in those Fantastic Four movies. We can expect her reprisal of Nancy in the Sin City Sequel to restore her good standings in our hearts. Also, we must mention her debutant coming out of sorts was Dark Angel- so she's got history with us.

5. Hayden Panettiere- Claire Bennet on Heroes. Blond, cheerleader, and a super hero. She's a triple threat! She's the it girl of the genre right now. And for America, she fills the cute, wholesome, blond quotient that Britney Spears abandoned.

4. Natalie Portman- She is Padme in the newer Star Wars Trilogy. She gave birth to Darth Vaders kids, for crying out loud. And then she played Evie in the silver screen adaption of Alan Moore's V for Vendetta. She showed so much commitment to the comic, she cut her hair bald. Bastard Emmys should of gave her props. As a young girl, she was in Leon, aka The Professional. Also the daughter of Al Pacino in heat. Now, watch her and Andy Samberg rap on SNL.

3. Angelina Jolie- She excited us on screen as a sexy Lara Croft in Tomb Raider. Angelina revealed her bad girl side in Original Sin. In Mr & Mrs Smith she solidified her title as most beautiful woman in Hollywood as she grabbed her matching chess piece Brad. And she just might move up in geek hearts. In November she gets semi-nude as the mother of Grendel in Beowulf. Beowulf is widely referred to the first superhero. And this adaption is penned by comic guru Neil Gaiman. She'll play the sexy catwoman that Halle Berry failed to play in Mark Millar's Wanted. And it's been rumored that their saving a role for her in Sin City 2.

2. Rosario Dawson- She was the lingerie clad street warrior Gail in Sin City. She's going to reprise the vixen in the sequel. In Alexander she showed no inhibition and captured perfection on film. From Tarantino's Death Proof to Kevin Smith's Clerks II her resume makes me feel like I'm name dropping. Then there is Occult Crimes Taskforce. Yes, she co-created and co-writes a comic book. Not a crappy comic book like most celebrities put out. She actually knows the medium. She doesn't just cheer lead about the comics when she's in a movie, she's real about it. She grew up reading comics her uncle is a comic aficionado as well as a penciller. If you see Rosario on G4, you'll see how natural she is discussing variant covers and rare red hood action figures. The more I know, the more I love her.

1. Scarlett Johansson- I first noticed her in Ghostworld. A clever adaption of a great indie comic book. Soon, she'll be on screen in The Spirit. Created by comic pillar Will Eisner- The Spirit is written and directed by Frank Miller (300, Sin City). Scarlett has even done voices on four episodes of Robot Chicken. Woody Allen is pretty geeky. Scarlett is in Scoop and Matchpoint, which technically classify as geek by association. The Prestige with two genre celebs Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale. And Lost in Translation is were you just fall in love with her. Recently, it's been announced that she will star in a movie as a female Gladiator seeking revenge. We already know she's a capable actress, but this could be huge. Possibly crowd pleasing like Gladiator. Possibly a strong role like Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2. Scarlett has enough acting chops to pull it off. My wish, if Scarlett for the role of Wonder Woman.
