Cleveland Browns. It has been a long time since the word playoffs was mentioned along with the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are exactly one win away from the playoffs though. Unknown quarter back Derek Anderson step into the starting role due to injuries. Many thought it would be a matter of time before rookie Brady Quinn would step into the starting role. Anderson has played well however, and Quinn has not been needed. The addition of Jamal Lewis at running back has been a solid choice. Lewis has proven he still has what it takes to be a number one running back in the NFL.
New England Patriots. It's hard to use the word improved with a team as good as the Patriots. The word is appropriate though. The Patriots have gone from good to great this year. The additions of Randy Moss and Donate Stallworth have made the passing attack almost unstoppable. Tom Brady is killing opposing defenses and has had a career season. Improvements on defense and in the running game are making the Patriots tough to stop.
Green Bay Packers. Who would have guessed the 8-8 Packers would be having the season they are having? This is a team that has really one house hold name, Brett Farve. Farve is having an amazing season and is breaking numerous passing records. The team is on a great streak and even has a running game. With only two losses so far, some are thinking Super Bowl in Green Bay.
Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings probably go a superstar in Adrian Peterson. The running back is having a great season and is probably the front runner for rookie of the year. They have a nice young quarterback Tarvairs Jackson. With a current record of 8-6 the Vikings could very well be on their way to their first playoff birth in many years.
Dallas Cowboys- Arguably the second best team in football, the Cowboys are poised to make their way to this years Super Bowl. Tony Romo continues to grow as a NFL quarterback and is becoming known as one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL.
