They released me from the hospital two days later, and it was by far one of the hardest things I had to do to leave my daughter's there without me. Due to the distance that we lived, work schedules, number of vehicles, etc, I wasn't able to get up to the hospital to see them more than once or twice a day. We also took care of my nephew during the day, and it wasn't feasible to take him to the hospital, as he wasn't allowed into the NICU unit. Sunday rolled around, and it was one of the saddest days. How could I celebrate Mother's Day when I didn't have any daughters? Well, we went up to the hospital, and by then all of the ward nurses knew me and everyone of them made a point of telling me "Happy Mother's Day." They had decorated the nursery and everything! We were able to spend a good bit of time with the babies, and it turned into a wonderful afternoon! I'll never forget all the nurses at that hospital for helping me through such a rough time.
