Most everyone loves the fair, whether it is the games, the food or just to bring a loved one there are plenty of popular fairs in Tampa to check out. Mostly the fairs in Tampa arrive around the best time of the season, where the weather is cool and the nights are long. You can enjoy the lights of the Midway or the smell of the delicious deep fried Oreo cookies, whichever is your pleasure.

Tampa is home to the Florida State Fairgrounds, which is home to the Florida State Fair but also to plenty of concerts. The Florida State fair comes around every year in February. On occasion, there are concerts going on in the Ford Amphitheater, which is adjacent to the Florida State Fairgrounds. The Florida State Fair is one of the largest fairs in Florida and one of the largest fairs in Tampa. This fair in Tampa runs for about two weeks. There are several types of tournaments, livestock shows, petting zoos and plenty of exhibits in the Expo Hall more so than other fairs in Tampa. Well-known groups from the old days to new groups perform. All types of music is available and plenty of attractions to keep you walking the whole day. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes.

One other popular favorite among fairs in Tampa is the Strawberry Festival, which starts shortly after the Florida State Fair. This fair among other fairs in Tampa is actually a little east of Tampa in Plant City. The Strawberry Festival is home to plenty of strawberry shortcake. If you love strawberry's this is the place to be. There is also a Mid Way at this fair, similar to other fairs in Tampa and plenty of concerts are held in the stadium located on the ground of the Strawberry Festival. Depending on who may be performing, will determine whether you need to purchase a separate ticket. Along with the music and rides of typical fairs, this is one of the fairs in Tampa that offer a country style to it, with its arts and crafts vendors. You can find almost anything with a strawberry on it. Along with memories of some great fun, you can take your own fresh strawberry's home after leaving this more popular fair in Tampa.

Another huge fair outside of mainstream fairs in Tampa is at the Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon, Florida. Admission to this fair is free, and so is the parking. Over 200,000 people have attended this one of many yearly fairs in Tampa. This fair in Tampa is called Novemberfest, and is a five-day festival and is coming up in a matter of weeks. Surprisingly enough, church can be fun after all with the fair at Nativity Catholic Church. This fair offers some of the same excitement regular fair offers such as rides, fair food and even arcade games. This festival is having its 39th Novemberfest anniversary this year, which shows its popularity and support among Tampa's residents. This year they will be having a 5k run or a 1k walk.
