Most Trendy Bridal Hairstyles for 2011

Ask any bride what she worries about most besides her dress, and she'll probably tell you it's how her hair is going to look on her special day. Most brides want something a little different from what they normally wear, so they'll pore over picture after picture, trying to find just the right hairstyle.

Some brides may also worry that the hairstyle they have chosen will make them look "dated," especially if their dresses are a very modern design. For this reason, a bride in this situation may look at the latest trends in bridal hairstyles to see if one of them will suit her. Surprisingly, she may find that several of them work, giving her a variety of options.

Modern Braids

Braids are very popular for 2011 wedding hairstyles, and there are several ways to incorporate braids into a hairstyle. One particular style even lets you combine braids with a style that allows for the hair to be pulled back and caught at the nape of the neck. In this style, the front bangs are left alone, just swept over to the side. As for the pulled-up braids, they are not tightly pinned; instead, they are loosely pinned up for a style that's elegant but has a more natural look.

Not Too Fussy Up-Dos

Up-dos will always be popular, no matter what year it is, because they go with almost any style wedding dress, from the trendiest to the most classic. But in 2011, the trendiest kind of up-do is a loosened up, more natural version of the classic chignons and buns. Neat and tidy buns are too fussy to be trendy right now.

A good up-do style that will look very good as well as accommodate a veil that is caught in a band or tiara is one where the hair is piled up on top of the hair in a bun. Depending on your preference, your hair can be pulled off the forehead and sides, or bangs and small curls can be included.

Half Up, Half Down

This is another hairstyle that also works well from year to year. The top layer of hair is caught up in a loose ponytail, which is then curled or styled, perhaps with decorative pins or clips. The hair underneath is left loose. Bangs can be parted in the middle and caught back in the ponytail, or left loose on the forehead. There are usually side curls.

Any of these hairstyles are modern enough for 2011, but also timeless. So when the bride looks at her wedding photos decades from now, she won't be regretting her trendy bridal hairstyle.
