Joe Dorish
These are the top ten most visited countries by international tourists in 2009. On a worldwide basis tourism overall shrank by 4% in 2009 as the great recession took its toll on the travel industry as well as every other industry. How many of these countries can you name off the top of your head? Some are real easy while others might be a surprise but if you think of the great tourist destinations in the world you'll get most of the countries.

1) France - 74.2 million international tourists

People should stop about the “French people being Rude” legend ! It’s so wrong !! I ‘ve been to France many times so did some of my friends , and honnestly , people were very nice and polite ! If you are polite with people , they are polite with you ! I think people should understand a thing ; when travelling (wherever) a tourist could at least learn how to say hello/goodbye/thank you in the local language ,also , a tourist could treat locals as equals not as some sort of animals , no , it s unpolite to bump into somebody asking “where is this or that” without a “thank you” not a “hi” nor a “goodbye”…so I d say , the rude people here are tourists , French are not more nor less rude and I found many great people there..Oh yes BTW ; they shower daily ! Amazing huh?
