Cooking
-Stay home and share moments together. My favorite thing to do with my daughter on winter break will be cooking. Every time when I open up my cookbook her, face lights up. You can get a new cookbook and try to make each day one of her favorite dishes. Offer her to beat the eggs, or decorates cake or platter. Both of you will enjoy, and for your daughter that will be lifetime of great memories.
Watch Movies
-After a good meal, there are always great movies. For the winter break, you could watch new animated movies such as "How to Train Your Dragon", " Toy Story 3", and last but not least " Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue".
Manicure and pedicure
-Occasionally girls need pampering. Why not take your daughter and have that special day together? She can pick the nail polish color for your nails and you can pick color for hers. Look for the specials in your local area for manicure and pedicure!
Re-decorating her room
-Both of you could go in a hardware store and pick up new paint for her room. Get a new rug, side table, lamp, and new sheets and start re-decorating. Let your daughter make choices and you just give opinion. This could be fun project!
Planning a tea party
-Invite few friends with their daughters for a fun tea party afternoon. You and your girl can make homemade invitations and plan together what to serve with the warm tea. Decorate the dining room, set the table and dress in the fancy clothes! This is great idea for both of you to enjoy cold winter day inside, and have fun with yours and hers friends together.
Walking and Art Project
-You and your daughter can go for a nice walk in the park and pick up small branches, leafs, rocks and glue it on a paper, make an art. That art would represent special day that you and your daughter spend together on a winter break.
Enjoy precious time with your daughter!
