Mother Who Had Sex with Biological Son Receives Her Prison Sentencing

Aimee L. Sword, the 36 year old woman of Waterford Township, MI has been sentenced to 9 to 30 years of prison after being convicted of having sex with her 16 year old son.

The Detroit area mother plead guilty to having sexual relations with her 16 year old son that she put up for adoption and then later hunted down on the internet.

After the sentencing, Aimee L. Sword apologized for her actions in the Oakland County Circuit Court. The verdict, handed down Monday July 12, 2010 came after the mom who had sex with her son admitted to the illegal sexual activities. Sword plead guilty to 1 count of 1^st degree criminal sexual conduct with her biological son.

According to police reports, the 36 year old mother found her biological son on Face Book and instead of having a normal reunion of birth mother and child, the two engaged in sexual activities. The engagement occurred in 2008.

The son, who is now 16, was given up for adoption by the mother, Aimee L. Sword nearly 16 years ago. The minor, of course, has not been legally named but did testify in court against his biological mother.

The son testified that he and his biological mother engaged in sexual activity in 2008 at two separate locations. Reports have not been made as to whether the sexual activity between the mother and son were consensual or not. Regardless, this is a case of incest as well as statutory rape. The mother who had sex with her biological son had not seen the child since she gave him up for adoption when he was an infant. The mother now faces nine to ten years of prison time due to a deal made with the prosecution for reduced charge of 1^st degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor child to whom she was also immediately related to.
