Those helpless, green buds in Spring.
She cries tears of joy for the new life
Only she can bring forth.
Mother Nature weeps for her babies
Growing up too fast in the wide-eyed Summer.
She weeps into the streams
Feeding life, feeding maturity.
Mother Nature sobs for her offspring
Long grown and withering in the Fall.
She sobs and aches for those children
Since they have learned to destroy her.
Mother Nature will die for her children
If they refuse to let Winter in.
She chokes on the product of Man
And cannot stop her tears.
