MOTHER a Poem About My Mother

This Poem Uses the First Letter of Each Stansa to Spell the Word Mother

M y mother was a mine shaft
Yes she was a truly a surprise
There was not much I could not learn
From her ever changing mind and eyes
O ver the years she taught me
Many things I could not possibly know
She took her time to listen and
With each and every lesson I did grow
T hen she was there to comfort me
Whenever she heard me cried
She was always there for me
Even when I sometimes I lied
H er hands taught me many crafts
I knit, crochet and even write
But most of all I knew that she'd
Understand if I didn't do things right.
E ven in the kitchen she amazed me
A chef she should have been
And she taught me how to do it too
So eventually a husband I could win.
R emembering her many talents
On mother's day this year
Makes me miss her ever so much
My mother, I held so very dear.

This is beautiful. I love that your Mom taught you to knit and crochet. It seems like that is a dying art. Happy Mother's Day.
