This is an amazing incident that took place just before Mother's Day on Friday May 11, a mother that resides in Westfield Ind, at a subdivision called Oak Manor in Hamilton County rescued her 4 year old daughter from a sinking vehicle. The Mother who's name is apparently Jessica White was getting ready to leave for the morning just before 9a.m she had fasten her 4 year old daughter in her car seat, started the ignition of her minivan and briefly went back in her home to retrieve some items and as Mrs. White was getting forgotten items from her home within seconds her 4 year old daughter was in there minivan located in the back seat of the vehicle the little girl decides to get out of her car seat and climb to the front seat because she was trying to turn up the radio so she could hear it.

As the 4 year old was trying to turn up the music she accidentally put the minivan into gear and the vehicle begin to roll down the driveway, down a hill into a nearby pond that is near the home. The child's mother Mrs. White comes out her home to realize that the minivan was gone then quickly realize that the minivan was in the pond. Mrs. White swiftly called 911 and immediately ran and jumped in the pond to save her child before the minivan had submerged deeper into the pond. The mother got her 4 year old out of the sinking minivan safely and unharmed. The Westfield police said that even though Mrs. White was in her home at the time of this incident she did see this happen and acted immediately so no charges would be filed.

This incident turned out to be a fortunate case, but their are so many cases that don't have the same happy ending where the child is unharmed and is saved by their loving parent. The reason for this is because unlike Mrs.White there are thousands of mothers out there that neglects their children on a daily bases. Mrs. White is not only fortunate but she is also very blessed to act in such a fast pace and to pull her child to safety she is search a hero. Her daughter didn't even need no type of hospitalization or medical treatment at all. The little girl was talking well after the incident and was even able to tell the story to some of the local news station all about what had happen and that her mother saved her life. Let this story be a lesson to other mothers that we as good parents still need to know that it only takes a few seconds for your child or children to be in harms way so be careful and more alert as to the environment that you are in or plan on leaving your children at because this could have been a huge tragic, but because of a speedy thinking, loving mother the little girl will enjoy life as it should be.
