Mother Spends $32,000 of Kids Money

All Just to Sail into Court

There are some things money can buy, and according to 35 year-old Janeen Schoeneman there was something she wanted, but it was out of reach. instead of saving up her money like a normal person would, she decided to drain her children's trust fund to obtain a new boat that she wanted oh so badly.

Nassau's Crimes Against Property Squad led the arrest on Janeen Shoeneman on a charge of third-degree grand larceny.

A Surrogate Court ordered that no one may take money from any trust funds until the child(ren) of the trust fund has turned the age of 18 as a law which started September of 2006. The trust fund left to Janeen Shoeneman's 2 and 3-year old daughters were from their grandmother, whom had passed away leaving them the money for important things such as college. However, Janeen Schoeneman had other plans with the money, to put it to her own use.

How did Janeen Schoeneman get the money out of the trust fund account if there was a ban on taking the money out? Apparently there was a bank error i which the bank failed ot oversee the transactions taking place within the trust fund, which allowed Janeen Schoeneman to make cash and check withdrawals from the trust fund account.

Janeen Schoeneman is married at the moment as well, but there is no evidence showing that the husband has been involved in the illegal transactions.

Schoeneman was first caught when a fraud investigator that worked with the bank discovered the illegal transactions, and then called police to deal with the matter. One item that supports the charge against Janeen Shoeneman are personally signed bank receipts for the illegal transactions from the trust fund for her kids. The bank, after realizing their mistake, gave Janeen Schoeneman six months to repay the money for the theft before contacing police about the matter.

The investigators looking into the matter said that the transactions occured between November 3rd, 2006 through January 29th, 2006, all after the law about taking money out of trust funds were put into play. It is unclear whether the account was completely drained or not.

How far will someone go to fulfill their own greedy fantasies? The sickest part is that it was over a materialistic item that held no value within the eyes of the children's futures whatevsoever, and was only for the happiness of Janeen Schoeneman alone.

I know the feeling. My parents forced me to work full time, year around, weekends, many summers two jobs and used a razor strap barbers used to sharpen straight razors to beat me with and let me know many times what it felt like if I told anyone or complained, sometimes three or more times I week causing permenant damage to my hip and back and had to have surgeries later in life and severely disabled. My vice principle found out when he looked at my social security records when I was sixteen and tried to have my parents arrested and told me to go home and lay down and tell my parents I could not work without a work permit. I did and my dad was caught by a sheriff beating me and was arrested after I was taken to the hospital to be treated for my injuries and I had forty stiches and the drug tests proved I never used illegal drugs ever my parents were also charged for lying to the sheriff and judge and stating I was encourageable and accused me of selling and using illegal drugs. It's a shame what some parents will do to their children. Some people don't deserve to be blessed with babies.

What kind of mother steals money from her own children? I could understand if she was doing it for the sake of her children, but for a boat? What a low-life!
