Mother Theresa

Elyse Levin
In Calcutta where you lived your life,
Helping the sick and those who experienced strife.
Born in 1910, you were with us until till you were ninety-seven,
And then you took your very special place in heaven.

You spread your message of peace throughout the land,
Winning the Noble Prize, that must have been grand.
Charity, kindness and love was your aim,
Saint Theresa will soon be your name.

Hope, faith and goodness you brought to all,
It didn't matter how they looked, short or tall.
Your clinics brought comfort for all that were sick,
Making their life seem special was your trick.

Your life was your legacy, tried and true,
The world misses someone as special as you.
With all that you accomplished which will remain,
These are the things that brought you fame.
