Mother's Day Brunch in Chicago and Suburbs
Make This Mother's Day Memorable with a Delicious Brunch in the Big City of Chicago or Surrounding Area
Chicago, IL 60605
United States of America
Every mom love's to be treated like the queen she is. Let her dress up (or not), take her out and show her the town, that toddlin' town, the Windy City Chicago. These are just a few of the hot spots in and around the city this year. But plan early because things move fast in this city too.
Chicago Locations:
Mother's Day Brunch and Cruises at Navy Pier. If you luck out and the weather is good, nothing is better than a cruise under the sun on Lake Michigan in view of the spectacular Chicago skyline. Even if the weather is not so good, you can still enjoy the festivities of dining and dancing below deck. Navy Pier has several cruise lines to choose from and each can be found at their website-www.navypier.com. Prices range from $45+ on the Spirit of Chicago, to $50+ on the Mystic Blue, to $65+ on the Odyssey, depending on mom's favorite time of day.
Chicago's Famed Pump Room. Elegance and celebrity aura awaits mom at this four-diamond-award restaurant located on Chicago's Gold Coast in the Ambassador East Hotel, 1301 N. State Parkway. Brunch is served from 11am to 4pm, in the same historical restaurant where Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall celebrated their wedding. Mom will love having her special Mother's Day brunch at the place Judy Garland sung about in "Chicago."
The Ultimate Mother's Day Brunch at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago. If mom is the magnificent mile top diva then there's no other place for her. In addition to The Greenhouse's Buffet ($80), and the Dining Room's Buffet ($95), if she registers at the Baccarat trunk show in the lobby, mom will be eligible to win earring and necklace set, plus a free one-night stay as part of hotel's "girls will be girls shopping package." Mom will feel like a million at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Chicago, just steps from outrageous shopping at Water Tower Place (home to Oprah).
Funky Mother's Day Brunch at Kitsch'n. The two locations -- Roscoe Village and River North -- serve mom free mimosa's with her crab cakes and coconut-crusted French Toast. 9am to 3pm in both locations with live jazz.
The artsy Mother's Day Brunch at May Street Market. This West Town hot spot offers a free Bloody Mary and art exhibit by the local artist Bette Cerf-Hill (acrylic on canvas paintings from her Rock Series) with a mini-buffet followed by a three-course prix-fixe meal. All for $65.
Suburban Locations:
Old World Italian Mother's Day Brunch at Rosebud in Schaumburg. The same family friendly atmosphere of the original Rosebud on Taylor Street in Little Italy, oh mama mia. Mom will feel good when the whole family can manga, manga (eat, eat), especially when she doesn't have to cook, cook (or clean, clean). Brunch is served from 11am to 3pm. When you visit the website to make reservations you may find a more convenient location amongst their eleven sites in and around the Chicago area.
Heaven on Seven Mother's Day Brunch. What's better than choices. Let mom choose either Heaven on Seven on Rush in Chicago's artsy and energetic River North area, or a slower paced Mother's Day Brunch at Heaven on Seven in Naperville. Both will present live music to accompany their New Orleans-style menu. Rush serves brunch from 9am to 2pm, and Naperville serves from 10am to 3pm.
Mother's Day at Algauers in Lisle. A champagne brunch and a chocolate fountain -- what else could a mother ask for? Of course there's leg of lamb, crab legs, omelette's and eggs Benedict, but the champagne and chocolate fountain are the deal sealers from 10am to 3pm. Mom will feel like her young self when it's all over!
Tre Elegante Mother's Day Brunch at Vie. Vie means "life" in French and mom will love celebrating her life from 2-7pm at this Western Springs destination that specializes in using locally grown foods.
Historic Cuneo Mansion Mother's Day Brunch. The mansion was designed by the founder of Commonwealth Edison Co., then purchased in in 1937 by the founder of the Hawthorn Mellody Co., so the site is rich with tradition, surrounded by formal gardens and wildlife. Mom will feel like a grande dame at the Mother's Day Brunch hosted by Phil Stefani's Catering and Special Events and presented in the Pavilion Tent. Reservations are accepted through Stefani's. Please call 312 226-7611 for menu, pricing and reservation information.
Whatever age, whatever style, whatever taste, you're sure to find the right spot to celebrate mom's focus-on-me-only day, even if she says she doesn't want you to focus on her only. Show her she is the #1, all-time special mom by treating her to one of these memorable Mother's Day Brunches in and around the Chicago area.
