Mothers Day Events in Sussex County New Jersey
On Thursday, May 6, Rockaway Mall in Dover, New Jersey will be holding an ultimate Mom's night out! From 6 PM to 9 PM, Moms can enjoy a free event designed for moms. There will be entertainment, beauty tips, massages, SWAG (Something with a Gift) bags, a fifty/fifty, raffles and prizes, and much more. This will be held on the lower level of Macy's Court. This is a great way to have your own time and since it is not on Mother's Day, you can still enjoy that time with your family.
At the Westfall winery in Montague, New Jersey, there will be an event on Mother's day for all mommies! Moms will get to taste locally made cheese and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, also local. This runs Saturday and Sunday. The backdrop of Westfall winery is beautiful and peaceful. With elegant horses and beautiful landscaping, any mom would enjoy sipping her wine slowly, enjoying the serenity of the area. There will be special discounts as well. There is a $5.00 admission fee.
Space Farms also in Montague, New Jersey, is a wonderful place to spend Mother's Day. It is a large zoo with many exhibits for moms, kids, and dads! Kids love to look at all of the animals, and the ducks, geese, swans, and other birds roam freely. What fun! There are so many things you can pack in one day at this zoo and it is local enough that most moms do not have to be in the car listening to the kids asking "are we there yet?" for hours on end! Pack a picnic lunch and make it a day!
No matter what you do, Mother's day is about moms and everything they do for their families. Moms of all ages should be honored this special day every year. Breakfast in bed, cleaning the house, giving mom a few hours to relax, and making her favorite dinner are all great ways to show your mom that you appreciate and love her. Younger kids, with dad's or someone else's help, can make homemade gifts, maybe a collage of hearts and pictures of mom, and mom will cherish this gift forever.
