Restaurants and Companies Offering Free Food for Mom on Her Special Day

If you are broke or don't have much to spend on Mom for Mother's Day, have no fear! There are several companies who are offering free food for Mom on Mother's Day. One is offering Mom a free breakfast; and others are offering her dessert. So whether you are thrifty by nature or necessity, you can treat Mom to some free food on Mother's Day by taking her to these businesses below to cash in on a food freebie.

Mother's Day Freebie: Breakfast at Ikea

Some Ikea stores are offering free breakfast for Mom consisting of a small breakfast and a cup of joe, so be sure to check your local Ikea location on the Ikea website before hauling mom off to a furniture store. Not all stores are participating, but a according to the Ikea Website, these stores are: San Diego, California; Draper, Utah; Brooklyn, New York; Long Island (Hicksville), New York; Portland, Oregon; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Frisco, Texas; Round Rock, Texas; Elizabeth, New Jersey; Charlotte, North Carolina; Twin Cities (Bloomington), Minnesota; Stoughton, Massachusetts; Sunrise, Florida; Orlando, Florida; West Sacramento, California; East Palo Alto, California; Covina, California; and Tempe, Arizona. I recommend calling to confirm with your local store before taking Mom to Ikea. Some stores were also offering a free massage and the Orlando, Florida store requires a picture of the family to get Mom her free breakfast.

Mother's Day Freebie: Free Dessert for Mom at TCBY, TGIFridays, and some Cold Stone Creameries

For the second year in a row, TCBY is offering that special woman in your life a free cup or cone on Mother's Day. The fine print does state "participating locations" so be sure to call your local TCBY to determine whether they are participating in this promotion. TCBY does have over 800 locations in this country and abroad, so plenty of opportunity to cash in on this Mother's Day food freebie.

If you plan to take mom out for a nice dinner, consider TGIFridays. TGIFridays is offering a free dessert for mom on Mother's Day with purchase of an entree. The food freebie for mom includes her choice of either a Brownie Obsession or Spiced Up Cupcake.

Select Cold Stone Creamery locations throughout the U.S. are offering free ice cream for mom on Mother's Day. The corporate website makes no mention of this freebie; instead, this freebie is being reported on a local level relevant for stores in these metro areas: Denver and several other cities in Colorado;Toledo, Ohio; Boston, Massachusetts; Manchester, New Hampshire;and Charlotte, North Carolina. Be sure to contact your local franchise store to see if they are participating in the free ice cream for Mom on Mother's Day promotion.
