Mother's Day Gifts for Moms who are Gardening Enthusiasts

Pearlygates
For anyone who has a passion for gardening, spending time digging in the earth, whether it be planting or weeding, is a gardener's delight. If your mom is a gardener, why not consider a Mother's Day gift for the garden? Here are some Mother's Day gift ideas you may want to give.

A great Mother's Day gift would be, to give her your time in her garden:

She may want to start a small herb garden, so get a wooden crate, some good drainage soil, some wooden marker and some of moms favorite herbs.

Maybe it is a salad garden she would like, you can plant a few tomato plants, some lettuces, spinach, green and red peppers, radishes and a few onions.

Then again maybe it is some thing a little whimsical she would like such as a fairy garden. Fairy gardens are wonderful fun to make, whether it be in a old whiskey barrel, an old claw bathtub, a large terra cotta saucer or just building it on the ground it self. Cute fairy houses can be built with old tree branches, sticks, twigs, stones, pine cones, nuts and little flowers. The fairy yard could be trimmed with small stones, plant small miniature trees and mossy growing plants. Get the perfect little fairy and build her a twig chair for her yard.

Mom may want her Mother's Day Gift a beautiful rose garden, you can then purchase 3 or 4 beautiful rose plants and a piece of lattice or a trellis, if any are going to be climbing roses. Reading the tags, plant each rose with the proper distance in between, dig holes the proper size and throw a banana peel in each hole. Roses love them.

Other Mother's Day gift ideas can be items that you know mom uses or wants for the garden:

A garden journal is a wonderful gift to give mom for Mother's Day. They make such beautiful ones now. They are great way to keep track of what new plants are put in each season and how each plant performs from year to year. Garden journals can run from 1.99 - 39.99, depending on the detail and quality of the journal.

She may have tools that need to be replaced. They now have handles with special grips on the tools, for anyone that has trouble holding them. The special grip tools run about 5 higher than a normal tool.

The gardeners knee-seats are nice, they save a lot of wear and tear on the back. One way you can knee on it then turn it over and it's a seat. These run about 29.99 - 49.99 at your local garden centers.

Mom may want a certain kind of hat, gloves, apron, garden clogs or sunglasses.

There are items for the yard that mom would love too. There are birdbaths, ponds, water fountains, statues, garden globes, bird houses, bird feeders, items for the birds and the bees, and butterflies too.

The one last Mother's Day gift Idea is giving a wonderful garden book. No gardener can resist sitting down with a good garden book and let their minds wander.
