Mother's Day Gifts for the Zen-minded Mom

Blair Hill
Mother's day is a wonderful day that allows moms around the globe to be on the receiving end of giving for once. But what happens when the mom in your life is a Zen mom? Have no fear, you can still support and show your appreciation for mom this year.

Instead of buying things that your Zen mom will find wasteful - and mindful, perhaps invest in things that will keep on giving. Is your Zen mom into gardening? Why not purchase her a new flowering tree, a simple mind-less bonsai tree, or a beautiful aromatic incense for her Zen kitchen (Citrus is best for those Zen moms). While you are still purchasing something worldly for you mother, you are also thinking specifically of her and things that she would hope for - not things that are contributing to wastefulness.

However, if you still think purchasing something would throw off your Zen mom, why not help her? Does her garden need some work? While she's away from home, gather your tools and prune the trees, cut the grass, and weed the garden. Or even if your Zen mom is at home, offer to do something that perhaps she is unable to do - is pruning hard on her hands, or no matter how Zen as she tries to be does your mom simply hate changing her companion cats liter box? Although this may seem simple and mindless, a Zen mother will see the wonder and mindfulness of your great efforts. Think outside the box.

Another great way to show your Zen mom your appreciate this mother's day through relaxation means. Does your Zen mom love soothing music and calming tea? Find a local artist that paints natural landscapes and purchase your Zen mom a print - gift it with a new tea cup, some chamomile tea & fresh honey, and your mom will know she's loved!

Whether you purchase your Zen mom a refreshing candle set, present her with a piece of Zen-minded art, or simply help her with a task that she isn't so mind-less about doing - make sure that your mother knows that she is loved and appreciated this Mother's Day season!
